The Problem With Surf-For-Hits Programs

Congratulations for sparing a few minutes to learn how to use Surf Exchanges to get bigger volumes and higher quality traffic than you ever thought possible – without spending a single cent. How? By using them in combination with free Exit Exchanges, free Banner Exchanges, and free Escalating Ads Programs. The result will be a flood of FREE TRAFFIC that builds on itself indefinitely. And, even more important, that traffic will be made up of real people, interested in what YOU have to offer. There are major problems with the results you get by surfing for hits without adding these extra dimensions. Whether you are surfing purely to build website traffic, or to earn 'surfing' dollars, or both, the penalty for not taking advantage of this method is a continuation of the same results you've been getting – results that are puny in comparison to what you could get for the same effort, once properly set up and running. 

What The Problems Are

Surfing For Hits

The trouble with Surf-for-Hits programs is that they generate hits to your website or affiliate program alright, but not always of the type you really want. That's not surprising, if you think about it. They come from people who click from one page to the next just to build credits that can be converted to website hits or cash. In other words, people like you! Now, ask yourself honestly: how many of those pages do you actually read? If you're like most, the answer will be: very few! The truth is that surfing for hits, on its own, inevitably produces inferior results since your page often gets skipped unread.

Clone Sites

People who try to get results from clone pages have another problem too (by 'clones' I mean replicated websites, such as those used by traffic co-operatives, downline builders and various other organizations that you have to 'join' in order to 'benefit'). Everyone who joins gets an exact copy of a website or webpage, which they're then required to promote. Common sense says it's going to be an uphill job, at the very least, because they all look (and are) the same. There are thousands of replicated websites all over the net and they all suffer from this problem: it's a matter of pot luck if someone clicks one rather than another. Owners of 'clone sites' can do little to tilt the odds in their favor because it's virtually impossible to get noticed above the crowd. The main beneficiary is invariably the original initiator of the program.

The Solution

What you really need is a method that focuses the hits from your Surf Exchange activity to where they'll do most good. Not on your Home Pages or Doorway Pages, but special pages, on your own site, created solely for the purpose of receiving hits and automatically multiplying them. For the sake of clarity, I call them Big Hits Pages. These have several banner ads like the one after this paragraph, that are electronically fed by Banner Exchanges you've joined, links to a number of Escalating Ads pages that you've also joined, and one or two popunder pages fed by Exit Exchanges. Sound simple? It is! But don't be deceived by its simplicity. This system is incredibly powerful. Every time a Big Hits Page receives a hit (that you generate by surfing), it automatically advertises your website, or affiliate program, or opportunity,  or whatever you want to promote, on numerous other sites all over the Internet. And, with the Big Hits Page system, the page you're promoting looks different to anyone else's. It's the method that matters. (This is all simplified for you in the step-by-step instructions further on.)

Exit Exchanges

These work by ratios, just like Surf Exchanges. For every two people that leave your Big Hits Page (with the Exit Exchange code embedded in it), you get the webpage of your choice appearing under another member's webpage somewhere on the net. I say under because these Exit Exchanges use Popunder pages; they're less obtrusive than Popups. Most often, site visitors are not even aware of the page having loaded until they close the original page they were viewing.

If you find popups irritating, or even popunders, let me assure you they are extremely powerful, and in the case of popunders, probably the most powerful advertising method currently available to the Internet entrepreneur. Like banner ads, their effectiveness will eventually wane but similarly, they will never lose their power completely. If you are wondering about the numbers of webmasters that use 'popup killers' when surfing for hits, forget it. Your Big Hits Page will be displayed so you still get credits for your Exit Pages. It's Jo Public that matters and she will see the webpage of your choice – not the Big Hits Page popunder (featuring someone else's ad) that is shown to Traffic Exchange surfers.

Unfortunately, some Surf Exchanges don't allow them, so are they really worth even considering? They sure are, as I explain in the step-by-step instructions. I also explain in detail how to use them in other ways that are crucial to the incredible multiplication effect of the Big Hits Page method too.

Escalating Adverts

Sometimes called Multi-Level Ads, the concept is basically this: you sign up and in return get a one-page website with a number of  text ads on it stacked down the page. As the newest advertiser to join, your text goes in the #1 position, the ad that was #1 moves to the #2 position, the 2nd to #3, and so on, with the last one being taken off the page. When someone signs up from your page, their advert is placed in the #1 spot, yours moves to #2, the 2nd moves to the #3 spot and so on. By the time yours reaches the #6 spot, you will, in theory, have had an incredible amount of traffic because everyone under you will be promoting your ad at the same time as their own! Obviously, it's in your interest to promote your page as much as possible so that you continually get new signups under you, who then do the same, who then do the same, and so on. Maximum exposure for your advertisement is the end result.

LinkOpp is slightly different. It doesn't have a webpage of its own but is more like a cross between an Escalating Advert and a banner. I admit though, that most use replicated webpages, which you may have thought I denigrated earlier. The crucial difference, is that you become the main beneficiary, rather than the guy that initiated them in the first place. And, as you'll see in the step-by-step setup instructions, you will double their effectiveness by combining them with Exit Exchanges.

Banner Exchanges

Once again, these work on ratios, usually 2:1. Most show your banner ad once (on a member's site) for every two banners of theirs that you show to your Big Hits Page visitors (in other words, a ratio of 2:1). These visitors are generated by your Surf Page efforts. Usually, each visitor equals one credit, and for every two credits the Banner Exchange will show your banner on a member's website, where the quality of the traffic is superior. If you have 5 banners from different exchanges on your Big Hits Page, then for every 2 hits it gets, FIVE OF YOUR BANNERS, advertising whatever you want, are shown on other websites all over the net.

In the past, the most insurmountable problem for Banner Exchanges was that your website needed a lot of traffic before your banner would be seen by enough people to make it worthwhile. This was because it would only be shown to half as many people as were already visiting your site. It defeated the object somewhat if you were trying to build up traffic, since you needed a good traffic flow already in place for it to work. With a Big Hits Page, that no longer applies!

You may have heard that banner advertisements don't work on the Internet any more. The truth is that they're not as effective as they once were (when they had novelty value) but, give them a headline that attracts attention and they will get your message out. As with any advertising anywhere, the secret is in the numbers, together with an attention-grabbing headline. This system, as you will see, supplies the numbers. And remember, viewers of your banner ads won't be surfing aimlessly for credits but visiting actual websites that they've chosen to go to.

Downline Building

As you know, most traffic exchanges award credits or cash to those who succeed in recruiting more members through the 'Referral Link' that they provide. When these referrals themselves recruit still more, you get even more credits. In theory, this is supposed to build into a downline that eventually makes any further work on your part unnecessary.

If only it was that easy! For most people this turns out to be a smoke and mirrors illusion at which they are never able to succeed. However, one of the beauties of the Big Hits Page concept is that, to a large degree, the theory actually works! How? Well, to help you promote your Big Hits Page, I provide a list of the best free Surf Exchanges, free Banner Exchanges, free Escalating Ads Pages and free Exit Exchanges, all of which allow you to earn credits for recruiting referrals. And I don't use the term 'best' lightly. I only list the best, and I know that they are the best because I've used them all, I listen to other people's opinions, and I keep my ear to the ground. The problem with building downlines is that people need to know you are recommending the best there is; not just programs that pay you well for sticking your neck out. Once they realize how valuable all this advice is about combining traffic exchanges with other programs, as briefly outlined above, they quickly accept advice too about which ones to invest their time and energy into – and move into your downline.

Surfing For Credits – Or Cash

As mentioned above, I provide a list of traffic exchanges and advice on how to use them to greatest effect. Also included is information as to which of these programs offer cash alternatives or cash incentives for the benefit of those who wish to achieve more than a simple increase in site traffic. Some people, of course, are only interested in the earning possibilities. For these there is also mention of a few peripheral cash-earning programs that I belong to and can confidently recommend because they work so well with the Big Hits Page system.

Putting It All Together

Many people have tried to persuade me that I should sell this system instead of giving it away. They say I could make a fortune selling it with reprint rights and that they would gladly buy.
