Setting Up A Big Hits Page System

1. Set Up Your Website

If you already have a site, then skip this step and go straight to 2. If you don't have a website, you need to get one before going any further. There are many free hosting providers as well as many inexpensive ones that specialize in mini sites. Whichever you choose, be sure to read their Terms Of Service before signing up. They must allow you to insert scripts, run Javascript code, have banners and other types of advertisements including popunders, and they must be able to cope with the traffic volume you are going to get! One free one that I've heard good comments about is Dreamwater at: http://dreamwater.com/.

2. Set Up Your Big Hits Page

It's probably obvious to you by now that the previous page was a Big Hits Page! To make things as easy as possible, you have my permission to copy it in its entirety, except the headline, and just change the embedded codes so that you get the credits instead of me (if you don't understand what this means, don't worry: I make it really easy for you, further on). I DO NOT include permission for you to use the headline... or any others being used for this system because that would mean hundreds of similar-looking pages being spawned all over the net, thereby seriously diminishing its effectiveness. That's exactly what is wrong with 'traffic co-operatives' and many other replicating websites all over the Internet: they're clones and, because they're all the same they cannot be individually promoted with any great success. Your Big Hits Page can but you must put some thought into a unique and compelling headline. It's best to rephrase the first paragraph too, if you can, and have a page header . The less it looks like mine, the better chance it has of being noticed. In fact, if you can reword the whole page (making sure to still use the term Big Hits Page, where appropriate), so much the better, but be sure to include all the steps otherwise your version of the system won't work!

You will eventually need more than one Big Hits Page to take full advantage of this system but it's really just a matter of copying the first one and then making minor changes, as I explain further on. Call your copy of my Big Hits Page massivehitpage0.html. Later you can rename it whatever you like but be sure to retain the number (in this case zero) as the last character in the filename prefix. In fact, a different name to mine is preferable so as to further avoid the impression of being part of a co-operative or another clone, but for the time being use the filename I suggest so that the rest of these instructions make sense. If you use my templates, all this is very much easier because it's already been done for you.

3. Create Your Banners

You need to have these ready before you join the banner exchanges as some require you to upload a graphic during the registration process. Design them to promote whatever website/page you want (your primary promotional target) plus one to further promote your Big Hits Page. You might want two or more for your own venture if you have more than one URL to promote, or if you want to try more than one banner for effectiveness. You can use the simple one I designed (below) for your Big Hits Page, if you like. (If you're using Windows95 or later, right-click on it, choose Save Picture As, save it in the same folder as your massivehitpage0.html file and name it massivehitpagea.gif).

Concentrate on riveting headlines rather than fancy graphics. People click on banners for what they promise, not because they look nice; though of course, they need to be eye-catching. Several banner exchanges, like BannersGoMLM, provide help in setting up adverts (probably a good idea to go to them anyway since their banners of 250X72 pixels are an odd size). You can, of course, use your own graphics program to make your 250X72 and 468X60 ads, if you have the expertise, or go to a graphics site that offers banner creation online, such as <http://www.addesigner.com>.

4. Join The Banner Exchanges

Sign up for the five free banner exchange programs within this section (one above and two below this paragraph, and a further two below the next paragraph). Stick to these five for now otherwise you risk being penalized by some Banner Exchanges. Some of these sign-ups can be a bit confusing in that they ask for your URL but don't specify whether they mean your target URL (that you want to promote) or your display URL (which in this case will be the site address of your Big Hits Pages, such as http://www.yoursite.com). It's usually the latter but don't worry because most of the initial information you enter can be changed at a later date. Be sure to keep good records of what you've entered though, especially passwords etc, as well as filing all emails received.

Click the five banners on this page to join those you're not already a member of. Set the DISPLAY URL, when asked for one, to the URL of your Big Hits Page SITE. Set the TARGET URL to your primary promotional target. Some allow you to enter more than one target and then rotate the displays for you. In these cases, of course, you'll need a different banner advert for each page you're promoting. Don't dilute your efforts by listing more than two or three though. I suggest that these (the ones that allow you more than one banner) are the ones you should target at massivehitpage3.html (using the banner above, if you wish), as well as your primary promotional target. This will have two Exit Exchanges, thereby multiplying your efforts yet again!

Next, you need to paste the initial HTML code for each banner exchange above into massivehitpage0.html. Some send it to you by email and some require you to copy the code from their websites. If you use my templates you'll find it easy to slot the code in even if you have no knowledge whatever of HTML. Important Note: BannersGoMLM and WebCounter require you to download a different code segment for each page their banner will appear on, so you need to open a text file and store four further script codes (for massivehitpage1.html through massivehitpage4.html).

5. Join The Escalating Ad Programs

Join the programs below. Each is different in detail but the underlying principle remains the same. Since most of these types of programs require people to view the pages linked to from each listed advertisement before joining, you may think that the actual wording of the advert is irrelevant. To a degree that may be true but I would advise that you should try to come up with a strong and compelling headline to pull more people in than you would otherwise. Since the target URL will be your primary promotional target, you should already have one or two suitable text ads to hand. If not, work on them first and keep them within 20 words, or about 150 characters. Where more than one target URL is allowed, such as with the Ultimate Traffic System, set the second one to massivehitpage1.html.The result will be that, yet again, you'll be multiplying the effectiveness of your Big Hits Pages by using an Exit Exchange popup (don't target massivehitpage3.html though, as you did with the Banner Exchanges; since Escalating Ad Programs only allow one popup).

Next, copy this page, slot the Referral Link code into place (for the program above), and name it massivehitpage4.html. Now you should have two Big Hits Pages, massivehitpage0.html and massivehitpage4.html, plus a gif (If you copied my banner). Once again, this is all much easier if you use my templates, as outlined above.

6. Join The Exit Exchanges

For now, you only need concern yourself with two Exit Exchanges. Once you've signed up to them, make sure you follow their instructions precisely (about how to add their code to your pages). If you don't, you may find they work superficially but you don't get all the credits you're due. In fact, this advice applies to all the programs above too. Join ExitTrade by clicking on this link. Join ExitExchange by clicking on the banner:

 

Now, do a Save As on massivehitpage0.html and name it massivehitpage1.html. Put the code for ExitExchange on your new page, massivehitpage1.html and Save. Then do a Save As on massivehitpage1.html and name it massivehitpage2.html. Put the second Exit Exchange code (ExitTrade) on massivehitpage2.html and Save. Now you should have one Big Hits Page with no Exit Exchanges (massivehitpage0.html), one Big Hits Page with one Exit Exchange (massivehitpage1.html) and another with two (massivehitpage2.html). Now do a Save As on massivehitpage2.html and name it massivehitpage3.html. Then change the headline (on massivehitpage3.html) to The Problem With Surf-For-Hits Programs and the first line on the page to read "Congratulations for sparing a few minutes to learn how to use Surf Exchanges to get... ". You already have a massivehitpage4.html.

Important Note. On massivehitpage1.html, in the Free-Banners code, change page=1 to page=2 (beware: there are two in each script); on massivehitpage2.html, change them to page=3, and so on up to page=5. Also, in the cases of BannersGoMLM and WebCounter, now is the time to enter the separate code segments you saved earlier for each page. Don't miss these steps or you'll get fewer hits and weaken the system.

Great! You're nearly there. Lastly, for this section, slot the Referral Link code for ExitTrade, and the banner code for ExitExchange into place on your own copy of this page (massivehitpage4.html). 

7. Download Crazy Browser

To simplify your surfing, and for much greater efficiency,  you should download this free enhanced browser. I can't speak too highly of this application. Not only does it allow you to open numerous sites without the need for a multiplicity of open windows but it is highly configurable and has a popup suppressor that works so well and makes surfing so easy you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. Download it here. It is essential for this system.

8. Join Automatic Surf Programs

These are VITAL if you want to get the most out of this system. The name says it all: just start them and then carry on with your work. Well, maybe not quite! It really is necessary to monitor them for problems, and these do occur from time to time. Some persistent popups and message dialogs can stop the automation process dead in its tracks. Also, some programs include devices, such as questionnaires or even competitions with prizes, to make sure you really are viewing pages. Besides, I believe in giving all owners of programs that make the Big Hits Page system work, a fair go. Don't cheat and they will notch up credits for you very well indeed. When joining programs that allow popups, you will sometimes be asked if you want to view sites that also have them. You should reply YES. Some will penalize you if you try to sign up to show yours but seem reluctant to view other people's.

One Pop Up Allowed

Join all these and set their target URLs to massivehitpage1.html. Every hit on a 2:1 ratio site equals one hit on your primary promotional target somewhere on the web because you are, in effect, exposing two windows to view each time!

Two Pop Ups Allowed

The same comments apply as above but these do the job of notching up credits even better! Every two hits on 2:1 ratio sites equals three hits on your primary promotional target somewhere on the web because this time you are opening three pages at each stroke! And what's more, some of these programs offer much better ratios (even 1:1), as do some of the previous ones. Set their target URLs to massivehitpage2.html.

9. Join Manual Surf Exchanges

You are probably already a member of one or more of these but you need to be a member of a reasonable number if you want to get a decent traffic return on your surfing investment. Join now by clicking the links below. Be sure to set their target URLs correctly.

No Pop Ups Allowed

Set the target URL of all these to massivehitpage0.html. You might wonder why I include them after insisting on the importance of Exit Exchanges. The answer is that you need to recruit a 'downline' to get referral credits and to make the system self-generating. Manual Surf Exchanges are the most fertile ground for such recruiting and the more of them that you give surfing time to, the better results you'll get.

One Pop Up Allowed

Once again, you may already be a member of some of these but you need to be a member of more than one or two to get the best out of the system. Join now by clicking the links below and setting their target URLs to massivehitpage1.html. Later, you may want to join more.

Two Pop Ups Allowed

You should join all of these and give them high importance. Sign up by clicking the links below and setting their target URLs to massivehitpage2.html.

8. Start Surfing!

Well, not quite yet. First you need to create the final webpage (massivehitpage5.html) for your Big Hits Page project.

A surfing schedule is crucial for keeping control of your credit-earning activities and this is an area where Crazy Browser shines. It has a Groups feature that allows you to utilize all your Surf-for-Hits programs to maximum effect and makes it easy to keep track of your activities. The last page contains a list of Crazy Browser Group files you might want to create (including instructions for configuring and installing them) and some scheduling suggestions.

On completion of this final step you will have six webpages, as follows:

1. massivehitpage0.html – The target page for Surf Exchanges that don't allow popups
2. massivehitpage1.html – The target page for Surf Exchanges that allow 1 popup
3. massivehitpage2.html – The target page for Surf Exchanges that allow 2 popups
4. massivehitpage3.html – The target page for all other advertising and 'escape' links from massivehitpage0.html etc
5. massivehitpage4.html – The Big Hits Page system setup page (that you're on now)
6. massivehitpage5.html – 'Group' Files And A Simple Surfing Schedule (that you're now about to do)

Now you need to go to the last page by clicking the link below. Copy and name it massivehitpage5.html and change the codes as necessary to identify you as the owner. Remember to amend the script codes for the Banner Exchanges.

Finally, let me congratulate you on persevering to the end of this rather complex procedure (but one that will pay off BIG for you, in due course). Traffic exchanges etc are constantly changing. Some get better and better as time goes by whereas some get less stable and less useful; some increase the number of pop-ups allowed, some restrict the number; occasionally one will drop out altogether.
